    At CF Legal Document Preparation and Notary Services our goal is to make the process for self-represented litigants easier. We know consumers need to have Florida court forms properly filled out and in compliance with Florida court requirements. We help to ensure that our customers file documents in a timely and efficient manner. We are not attorneys, we are non-lawyer document preparers. This means that we can prepare forms, provide you with legal information, and explain what procedures are to take place so that you know what to expect. We do not provide legal advice or representation. That reason being  we can help our customers while keeping our services significantly affordable in comparison to what an attorney may charge for the same services.  In addition , we are a 100% virtual company therefore our prices may be lower than our colleagues who must consider additional expenses that come along with having a physical location. Having the ability to offer our services Virtually also saves our clients the expenses of commuting, child care if needed, and most importantly practicing social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic nor losing hours of work that can be saved for unforeseen circumstances.

Notary Services

Below is a summary explaining our notary services and what they consist of.

  • Notary services by appointment

    Notary Services Offered

    Many legal documents must be signed and witnessed before events can proceed, such as loan modifications, living trusts, refinance and loan documents, birth certificate applications, power of attorney, deeds, visa verifications, and more. These services can are provided in person and by appointment.

  • Remote Online Notary Services RON

    What is Remote Online Notarization?  (RON)

    Remote online notarization, or “RON” as it’s commonly called,  is a 100% online notary service where documents can be electronically signed and notarized online using a webcam and microphone.  Only a specially trained and certified online notary public can perform online notarizations in Florida.

    Requirements to use Remote Online Notarization (RON) and DocVerify (RON PLATFORM)

    *Please keep in mind you MUST meet the following minimum requirements to use online notarization:

    System Requirements
    Internet Speed

    You must have a high-speed, reliable connection to the Internet.  If your connection is spotty, the session will drop-out.

    Multiple Signers Need Separate Devices

    Each signer or witness must join the online notary session at the same time using their own compatible device (no sharing).  An email is sent to each signer’s unique email address, and these emails contain the links needed for the signer(s) to go online.

    If you only have one compatible device, there is a work-around procedure that can be used.  Please contact us for details.

    You Must Use a Supported Web Browser and Operating System!

    This is very important:   You must use an approved web browser, or your remote online notary is not going to work.  Below is a list of supported browsers:

    WINDOWS
    Google Chrome – Version 30 or Higher
    Mozilla Firefox – Version 24 or Higher
    *** Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge Will Not Work ***
    ANDROID TABLETS AND PHONESGoogle Chrome (Latest Version)
    MACGoogle Chrome (Latest Version)
    FireFox (Latest Version)
    iOS, iPHONE, iPADiOS 11 or higher only and only with Chrome browser
    Test your Webcam and Microphone First

    The following website is not associated with our business, but we’ve found it very helpful for testing webcams and microphones for remote online notarization:

    Webcam and Microphone Test

    Personal Requirements

    First, be comfortable with the concept of online notarization.

    Identity Verification

    Florida’s notary law requires that your identity be authenticated using a 2-step process of credential analysis and knowledge based authentication (KBA).  If you do not meet the following requirements, online notarization is not an option for you, because you will not pass identity verification.  You must:

    • Be a United States citizen or legal resident with a U.S. credit history;

    • Have a state issued driver license or ID card – (passports or military identification is not sufficient);

    • Have a social security number – (You will only be asked for the last 4-digits of your social security number during ID verification);

    • Have at least five years of credit history in the United States – (Your credit is not “pulled”, but your history is used to generate 5-questions for the KBA test); and

    • Have a United States based mobile telephone number from a major carrier.  (Not VOIP, Google Voice, etc.)

    Is your Credit Report Locked?

    Many people have their credit reports locked for security reasons.   If your credit report is locked, you will not pass the ID verification process.  You must first contact the credit bureaus to unlock your credit report.
